<P><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial">The City of Lacey, Washington, is seeking a new Director to continue a legacy of outstanding financial and operational leadership for its Finance Department. Reporting directly to the City Manager, the Finance Director will plan, direct, and manage the programs and activities of Lacey Finance Department. Salary range is between $98,580 to $121,308 DOQ.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial">Integrity and honesty are two key values that permeate the City’s work culture and are the hallmark of the Finance Department. The new Director must be highly ethical, professionally astute, and have a track record of unassailable accounting and financial management practices. Having a demonstrated record of establishing a conservative and risk averse pattern of public finance investing will be needed to help the City weather the current economic downturn, robust mix of government, and business activities.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial">This individual will have a minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible financial management or accounting experience including at least three years of successful leadership in a large, multi-function finance department in a public agency. Experience managing complex budgets, developing and implementing new programs, grant management, and experience in utility fees is highly desirable. </FONT></P>
