<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Good afternoon,</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT>
<BR><FONT FACE="Arial">This is a reminder that the Oregon State Fiscal Association is hosting a training workshop on October 15, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Salem Conference Center. We are offering a half day of training with two sessions. The first session is on Microsoft Access and the second session is on ARRA Grants.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Lois Wallace, Financial Coordinator for ODOT Financial Services, will lead the Microsoft Access session. This workshop is designed for people who have basic Access skills but would like to gain more proficiency with the various types of Access queries.</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Mike Auman, Finance Manager for the Governor's Economic Recovery Executive Team, will present the ARRA Grants class. This workshop will discuss the various types of ARRA Grants, reporting and record keeping requirements, and </FONT><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial">how Oregon is preparing to meet the unprecedented level of federal funding coming to the state.</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Both instructors have a wealth of experience in their respective fields and will offer a high-impact learning experience! </FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">The OSFA Board of Directors is very concerned about the current economic conditions and the effect this is having on State agencies. The Board has scaled back the conference to a 1/2 day conference instead of a full day. The Board has also elected to subsidize a portion of the expenses for this year's conference with monies earned from the 2008 conference in order to provide a meaningful training day at the lowest price we can afford. The entire agenda is $50.00 per person. We hope this one-time reduction will assist with your ability to attend this year's conference.</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"></FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">See the attached registration form for more information.</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
