These youth crews gain valuable skills and work experience that helps prepare them for the work force. The Board passed a grant expenditure (subject to legislative approval of the agency’s 2011-2013 budget) of $41,138 in state boater funds from the 2011-2013 funding cycle with $79,061 of in-kind match, for a total project cost of $120,199. There are 24 boating access sites that will benefit from OYCC’s work, which is slated to begin in Clackamas, Columbia, Douglas, Josephine and Lane Counties on July 1, 2011. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:200%'> The Board also approved a slow-no-wake zone within 100 feet of Edgewater Marina, as marked, on Foster Reservoir in Linn County. In addition, the Board approved a 5 MPH slow-no-wake rule on the Willamette River in Multnomah County during construction of the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Bridge near river mile 13.8.
