The grant also provides for removal of the existing structures that may pose a hazard to boaters using the new launch ramp. The new location is near the existing ramp but in a portion of the river with adequate depth to allow motorboats to launch year-round. Marine Board engineers provided design and engineering assistance for the new ramp and ODOT will manage the construction of the new ramp. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in;line-height:200%'>The Board approved $63,750 in state boater funds combined with $36,664 of in-kind contributions, $43,000 of applicant cash and $191,250 in federal Sport Fish Restoration funds .administered through the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The total cost for the project is $334,664. The in-water work period has been established from June 1 through October 15, 2011.
