This grant is part of the final phase of Metro’s master plan, developed in 2001, for the site that serves all boaters. The M. James Gleason boat ramp is the second most popular boat launch in Multnomah County.

In addition, Marine Board staff are coordinating with Metro to include installation of a boat wash station in proximity to the new restroom. Motorboats that are registered with the Marine Board pay a $5 surcharge on their registration fee that goes toward aquatic invasive species prevention efforts, such as boat wash stations.
