When Deputy Johnson arrived on scene, two adult males were trapped on the face of the dam, dangerously close to the new turbines. The water hydraulics would have eventually capsized their boat. Deputy Johnson was able to quickly evaluate the situation and was able to get a rope to the men, have them properly secure the line, and safely tow the men and the boat to the nearest dock. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:200%'><span style='font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'> “Deputy Johnson’s quick response and his excellent boat handling skills saved the two men and their boat,” said Marty Law, Boating Safety Manager for the Marine Board. “This situation is my worst nightmare –being pinned up against a dam next to the turbines. This situation could have had a very different outcome.
