The Board also approved rules for Boating Under the Influence of Intoxicants at their quarterly Board meeting held on October 26 in Eugene. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:200%'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;line-height:200%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'> The intention of the aquatic invasive species rulemaking is to amend OAR 250-010-0650 to clarify the permit presentation requirements and remove statutory violation language and to adopt OAR 250-010-0660 for inspections of recreational and commercial boats for the presence of aquatic invasive species at inspection stations. The Oregon Legislature approved mandatory boat inspections during the 2011 session, and directed the Marine Board to implement this law through administrative rule. Both aquatic invasive species administrative rules will be open for public comment beginning December 1.
