Greetings,
A Federal law went into effect on January 1, 2025, that allows employees to deduct qualified overtime compensation from their federal income tax returns. We have created two new reports, one for employees and one for Payroll Partners, to generate employee overtime compensation for 2025.
The "YTD Overtime Report" is a new report created for Payroll Partners to report overtime compensation for tax year 2025 to assist employees as needed. This report provides "Total Overtime Compensation" for tax year 2025 using the following earning codes:
* Overtime-1.5 FLSA
* Time Off - Compensatory Time Taken
* Leave Payoff-Comp Time
The report will be available in Workday on Dec. 24, 2025and is available to run from the Pay Cycle Command Center.
The resources listed below are available for you to review in Workday Drive:
Workday Drive > Payroll Resources > Reports > PAY YTD Overtime Report
* YTD Overtime Report - Payroll Instructions
o Provides detailed steps on how to run the report on behalf of employees
* YTD Overtime Report FAQ
o Resource to assist with employee questions
* YTD Overtime Report WD Announcement - All Employees
o A copy of the early January 2026 all employee announcement to inform employees of the new report
We are sharing this report with you in advance of making it available to all employees in January to allow you time to run the report and prepare for questions that employees may have. The employee version of this report will be available from the Benefits and Pay Hub and the report is named: "Employee YTD Overtime Report"
Please send us your feedback or any additional questions about this report in a Workday Help Case.
Thank you for your continued partnership,
DAS Workday Oregon Program
