Greetings Payroll and HR Partners,

Effective January 1, 2026, Oregon SB 906 (2025)<https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2025R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/SB0906/Enrolled> requires employers to provide every new hire with a written explanation of earnings and deductions to help employees understand the information on their itemized pay statements.

DAS has created a resource that lists all earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings that may appear on an employee's pay statement and can be found here: Itemized Pay Statement Earnings and Deductions<https://www.oregon.gov/das/Financial/Documents/deductions-earning-combined.pdf>
