<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.25in;text-indent:-.25in"><b>Legislatively Required Leave (LR) -
</b>House Bill 3263 made changes to <a href="http://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2011ors659A.html">
ORS 659A.270</a>, <a href="http://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2011ors659A.html">
ORS 659A.285</a> and <a href="http://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2011ors659A.html">
ORS 659A.290</a>. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.25in">Legislatively Required Leave provides
<span style="color:#1F497D">up to </span>160 hours of employer<span style="color:#1F497D">-granted</span> paid leave per calendar year for an
<i>eligible employee<sup> </sup></i>who is a victim of domestic violence, a victim of harassment, a victim of sexual assault or a victim of stalking. All other forms of paid leave must be exhausted prior to use of the additional 160 employer paid leave hours.
Eligible employees, per <a href="http://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2011ors659A.html">
ORS 659A.270</a>, have worked for the employer 180 days prior to the date the leave would commence and worked an average of 25 hours per week.<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif""><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This pay code will be tracked similar to FMLA/OFLA. HR offices will be working with payroll offices to let you know of the hours granted for this leave code. This pay code will behave similar to GL. The balance will be negative with
a 160 hour cap. The hours will clear on every December leave accrual.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For Senate Bill 1 – Veterans taking the Veteran’s Holiday on a different day, OSPS recommends using the pay code “HU” for this purpose. HU – Holiday Use. Paid leave for specific holidays when leave is taken on another day.<o:p></o:p></p>
