<p class="MsoNormal">The mission of the Department of Agriculture is threefold: (1) to ensure food safety and provide consumer protection, (2) protect agricultural resources, and (3) promote economic development in the agricultural industry. The department
takes a holistic approach to regulating and promoting agricultural activities throughout Oregon. The department’s budget exceeds $96 million and is split between fees, the General Fund, Lottery Funds and Federal Funds. During peak seasonal activities, the
