Thank you for the many things you do every day on behalf of the state and our vital workforce. We are writing from the Oregon State Treasury to share some exciting news about Embark, formerly
known as the Oregon College Savings Plan, and – from the “nobody likes surprises” department -- to also give you a head’s up that we soon will be communicating about the changes via a Workday announcement.

First, we want people to know that the only thing changing structurally is the name, which was chosen because it embodies the reality that higher education journeys to a better future can take
many forms and not only college.

And second, we are highlighting that you can easily self-direct contributions to Embark plans through Workday direct deposit elections (this is much easier than the prior time-consuming process
that required forms be processed by payroll departments.) If employees have questions specific to Workday payment elections, we will suggest that they touch base with you.

Also, if they have questions about other aspects of Embark or the valuable annual refundable tax credit, please send them our way! We also are including the link to the plan website and call
center in the Workday announcement.

Thank you again. If you have any questions or would like to disseminate information via other methods about Treasury’s savings plans including Embark and also the Oregon ABLE Savings Plan for
people with disabilities, please connect with us!

Sincerely,
