If you employ election workers for the elections to be conducted during the calendar year 2016, their wages are excluded from social security withholdings for the first $1,700.00 of earnings. A copy of this exclusion is attached. Please note: this exclusion is applicable to election workers and election officials which are not to be confused with elected officials.
