[OSSSA218] State of Oregon Election Worker Exclusion

Good afternoon Section 218 Employers:

This is a reminder that the State of Oregon holds an election worker exclusion within the framework of our agreement with the Social Security Administration.

If you employ election workers for the elections to be conducted during the calendar year 2016, their wages are excluded from social security withholdings for the first $1,700.00 of earnings. A copy of this exclusion is attached.

Please note:  this exclusion is applicable to election workers and election officials which are not to be confused with elected officials.
