[OSSSA218] Informational Notices Sent By the SSA -- Employer Correction Request Notices

Good morning Section 218 Employers;

After a hiatus of 15 years, the Social Security Administration has re-established their practice of sending informational notifications to employers and third parties who submitted wage and tax statements (Form W-2) that contain name and Social Security number combinations that do not match their records. These notifications are being sent this Spring based upon the W-2 reports submitted for 2018.
