<DIV>Both products are free to employers.</DIV>


<DIV> </DIV>


<DIV><FONT color=#008000><STRONG>SSNVS (Social Security Number Verification Service) </STRONG></FONT>- is a product of the Social Security Administration, allowing employers to match their records of current and former employee names and SSNs with Social Security records before preparing and submitting Forms W-2. </DIV>


<DIV> </DIV>


<DIV>While the service is available to all employers and third-party submitters, it can only be used to verify current and former employees and only for wage reporting (Form W-2) purposes. </DIV>


<DIV> </DIV>


<DIV>With this system it is possible to verify up to 10 names and SSNs online and receive immediate results. You can get overnight results on up to 250,000 records.</DIV>


<DIV> </DIV>


<DIV>If the name and SSN do not match, SSNVS provides you with a sample letter to give to your employee. </DIV>


<DIV> </DIV>


<DIV><FONT color=#008000><STRONG>E-Verify - </STRONG></FONT><FONT color=#000000>is a product available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and determines employment eligibility of new hires and the validity of their Social Security Numbers through the comparison of I-9 information to the SSA's database and DHS' immigration databases. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Restrictions are greater with the use of E-Verify to SSNVS. If you decide to use E-Verify, keep in mind it is to be used only for new hires and if used for one it must be used for all new hires.</DIV>
