[OYAN] Shoutout for Friday, February 6th

Hello folks,

Whew, we made it to Friday! There's a lot that's heavy happening in the world and our communities, and there's still a lot of good, too. On Sunday, I'm going to a Superbowl party because my Washington relatives will disown me if I don't cheer on the Seahawks, but also because it will be a good place to hangout with good folks. And tonight, I'm really looking forward to the Winter Olympic opening ceremonies. It's easy to keep very real divisions front and center, but it's so important to remember we're all on this planet together. Celebrating all our athletes is one way to do that!

Today's shoutout is for one of my State Library colleagues, Ericka Brunson-Rochette, and her recent work: Ericka served on the 2026 Newberry committee and worked so hard last month!
