<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">MICRO-CREDENTIALS<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">YALSA has launched its <a href="http://www.ala.org/yalsa/badges-learning">
<span style="color:black">Badges for Learning program</span></a> (<a href="http://yalsabadges.ala.org/">http://yalsabadges.ala.org/</a>), which helps learners earn seven (7) micro-credentials that align with YALSA’s seven
<a href="http://www.ala.org/yalsa/guidelines/yacompetencies2010"><span style="color:black">Competencies for Librarians Serving Youth</span></a>. Badges for Learning offers free professional development where librarians and library workers earn a micro-credential
by completing lessons that enable individuals to develop skills they need to successfully work for and with teens.
<span style="background:white">The badge linked to each micro-credential can be used on resumes, in social spaces and to demonstrate expertise to colleagues, administrators and current and potential employers.
