<a href="https://bluemountaineagle.com/2025/05/23/grant-county-budget-committee-oks-88-7-million-budget/?utm_rs=AP_XCO9tXfoSdi9TRDTK4MJOw">
Grant County</a> and <a href="https://www.salemreporter.com/2025/05/21/how-a-group-of-library-lovers-convinced-a-reluctant-salem-to-raise-property-taxes/">
Salem Public</a>, facing catastrophic budget losses, can celebrate better budget situations and staying open without losing more staff. I know budget and funding challenges are unfortunately not unique in our state, and I have personally felt this spring how
very difficult it is to keep doing the good work while facing potential job losses and severe cuts that annihilate services. I am so impressed by all of you continuing to serve your communities with grace, energy, and care while facing very stark budget realities.
We know not every library facing financial uncertainty got good news this week. We are thinking of all of you over here.
