be your responsibility. There are a variety of hotels in Salem, the one closest
to the State Library is the Phoenix Grand Hotel (it is next to the convention
center where OLA was held two years ago), on Market Street right off the
freeway are several hotels including a Red Lion and a Phoenix Suites. There are
a couple of motels on <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Hawthorne</st1:City></st1:place>,
off the freeway at exit 253, including a Best Western and a Holiday Inn
Express. They are right next to Costco. <o:p></o:p></p>

If you haven’t picked up your OregonReads 2009 books from the State
Library this would be a great opportunity. Please be sure to contact Joel
