Oregon State Library has fifteen openings for public libraries to participate in the next phase of the national launch of the
<a href="http://www.libraryedge.org/about-edge">Edge Initiative</a>. Public libraries may submit a letter of interest via email to
<a href="mailto:darci.hanning@state.or.us">Darci Hanning</a> by the <b>May 10<sup>th</sup></b> (extended from the original April 30<sup>th</sup> deadline). The
<a href="http://www.libraryedge.org/toolkit">Edge Toolkit</a> has been designed to assist public libraries in meeting their individual demands and challenges of providing technology and technology services in alignment with community priorities and to plan
for future technology needs. </span></span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="style6"><span class="style101"><span style="font-size:9.5pt">The next 12 libraries to submit a letter of interest will be eligible to participate in the next round of assessments, training, and planning resources for free throughout 2014.
<b>Participating libraries will be expected to register online in May and complete the 2-4 hour technology assessment for their library (including any branches) by July 31st</b>. Additional training and resources will be available to libraries who complete
