No, I do not know much about adaptations to Cuídate for Native communities but I can easily see it happening. Not that I am an expert at culture and values but it has been my experience that disenfranchised
communities have more similarities than differences in their culture and values. Respect, family, gender roles and religion are values that have huge impact, whether we recognize it or not, on who we are , what we do and how we live. Cuidate’s goal is to have
participants gain knowledge about HIV and other sexual and reproductive health education AND discuss and be conscious of how cultural values impact your ability or inability to stay safe, healthy and make decisions. I would say this can easily be adapted
to any population and culture but the language would need to be adapted to resonate with the audience. I think the art work would even work with Native Americans.
