In recognition of African-American History Month, the Oregon Department of Forestry has published a web feature story sharing the story of Maxville, a tiny company logging town that played an important, if not widely-known role in the development of Oregon's African-American community. The web feature tells the history of the NE Oregon town and efforts to preserve the memory of the 'Maxville story' - The web feature is located at:
