The Oregon Department of Forestry issued this news media advisory today and provided public notice of this meeting as designated in Oregon Revised Statutes 192.640; the purpose of the meeting is to confer with legal counsel in Executive Session as identified in Oregon Revised Statutes 192.660. The June 13 session is closed to the public, however members of the news media may observe proceedings in conformance with the Executive Session procedures identified in Oregon Revised Statutes 192.660.

Forestry Board to hold executive session June 13

WHAT - The Oregon Board of Forestry will hold an executive session by telephone conference for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel relating to litigation.



The board holds such sessions from time to time to discuss various ongoing legal cases.



By law, no decisions are to be made in an executive session.



The session is closed to the public, but members of the news media may attend, under provisions of ORS 192.660.



WHO - The members of the Oregon Board of Forestry.



WHEN - The Monday, June 13, executive session is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and conclude by 3:30 p.m.



WHERE - The executive session will be held in the Tillamook Room, Building C, Oregon Department of Forestry headquarters, 2600 State St., in Salem. It is anticipated that most of the board members will participate by telephone conference, rather than in person. A speakerphone will be available in the Tillamook Room for members of the news media to listen to the meeting.
