The Committee provides information and counsel to the Oregon Board of Forestry and State Forester in matters relating to family forestlands, including maintenance of a viable family forestland base, protection of resources and positive contributions to Oregon's vitality.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:windowtext'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:windowtext'>On the agenda<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:windowtext'>The agenda proposed for the February meeting includes continued discussion about the Eastern Oregon private lands pilot project. This is a project to protect forest landscapes from threats, preserve ecosystems and enhance public benefits from private forests in the John Day / Ritter Valley area, proposed for funding by the U.S. Forest Service’s Western Competitive Grant process.
