Hello! I subscribe to LD OnLine, a website dedicated to learning disabilities. The newsletter this month has three articles on parents and young children reading together. The three articles are very similar, but have some good information and tips specific
to three different types of learning disabilities. All three articles have 4 or 5 tips for reading with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers that are good for parents with babies of all types of abilities! I've cut-and-paste just the tips and book recommendations
from all three articles to create a one-page handout for your convenience (attached).
Remember, if you are working with parents who are concerned that their child has a learning disability, only a trained health profession can make that diagnosis.

If you are interested in more information about and resources for children with learning disabilities, LD OnLine is a good place to start:

Hopefully this will be useful in your work with parents and early literacy.
