Newport, OR on the campus of OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center. The Guin Library houses HMSC’s research and teaching collection, and serves the OSU community at HMSC along with the federal and state agencies located on the campus and the general public.
The Library Technician III positions are key employees in a small, innovative team environment.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">The Collections and Resource Sharing Library Technician III uses advanced knowledge of library and information procedures and services and keeps abreast of emerging library
trends in order to contribute to the management of Library collections and resource sharing services. This includes: providing reference assistance and basic instruction in the use of library collections; collaborating with relevant Valley Library departments
to align Guin Library workflows; creating and revising documentation and procedure manuals. Works collaboratively with other Guin Library staff, taking primary responsibility for coordinating workflows related to collection management or resource sharing.
Leads the work of student employee(s) and participates in the student hiring and training process.
