<strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">The Library Development & Legislation Committee (LDLC) is actively seeking new members from across the OLA membership!</span></strong></span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">The primary function of the LDLC is to e<strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">stablish priorities on legislative actions</span></strong> affecting all types of libraries
in Oregon. Additionally, the LDLC strives to <strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">educate and engage OLA members on local, state, and federal legislative issues</span></strong> so they can confidently advocate on behalf of libraries with
legislators and local decision makers.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">We are approaching the odd-numbered, "long" session for the Oregon Legislature (beginning January 2021) so,
<strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif">if you have an interest in government and the legislative process</span></strong>, this is a great time to join the LDLC!</span><o:p></o:p></p>
