  1.  On October 25, 2023, the Board adopted the attached Administrative Rules under OAR Chapter 750.

The administrative rules include a $100 board fee assessed on each initial and renewal Tow and Recovery Vehicle Business Certificate Application filed in Oregon.

As the Board receives no general fund, taxpayer funds, or other funding, the $100 Board Fee will be used to fund the operation costs and expenses of the Board.



Beginning January 1, 2024, the $100 board fee will be paid to DMV at the same time as the tow certificate fee (for total fees of $117 paid to DMV with the application).

Tow and Recovery vehicles with a GVWR of over 26,000 lbs. will continue to register with ODOT CCD and then pay the $17 certificate fee and $100 Tow Board fee to DMV for each vehicle.



  1.  The Board's next public meeting is November 14, 2023. Agenda topics include a planning session identifying the next priorities and goals of the Board. There are several opportunities to make public comments to, or ask questions of, the Board.

The attached Public Notice and Agenda includes information on how to attend in person or remotely by phone, Microsoft Teams, or on the web.
