RE:      May 1, 2009 NASDSE broadcast

Our next broadcast for the 2008-09 NASDSE Professional Development Series is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2009 and is titled: Understanding the Big Picture: Federal Policy and its Impact on the Classroom.  NASDSE's director of government relations will facilitate a discussion of recent and upcoming federal policy changes, how they affect the classroom and what to expect from the new Administration.

Information for the session, including specific satellite coordinates, will be posted on the Department's website at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=258, several days prior to the session.  Local ESDs and schools may host this event through the Oregon Access Network.  For a list of network sites, please go to: http://www.ode.state.or.us/initiatives/oraccessnet/networksites.aspx.

For schools unable to participate in the live session broadcasts, the Department provides taped copies of the broadcasts for rebroadcast and/or dissemination by ESDs and schools.
