ODE regrets the errors and apologizes for the inconvenience these changes will create for districts in re-validating the report card drafts. Please note that displays for Suspension/Expulsion are the only displays that have been revised since March 7. Revised drafts of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards have been posted on the secure district site for your preview: https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/. ODE expects each district to proof its district report and click "Accept" if there are no errors and "Appeal" if there are errors. The district appeal must provide details of the correction(s) being requested. However, please be advised that ODE will not change any data that have been submitted and previously validated by the district. For additional information, please email ODE.SchoolAgeRpt at state.or.us. * April 1: Final Special Education Report Cards Available to Districts Final pdf versions of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards will be available to districts on the secure district site: https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/. No changes will be made on or after this date. * April 3: Public Release of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards District report cards will be available to the public on the ODE website. ODE will issue a press release about the Special Education Report Cards and the Special Education Child Count. States have been asked to share this correspondence with local school administrators, and USDOE will be hosting conference calls for state administrators to answer questions and respond to questions in the coming weeks. The plan does not place new requirements on State and Local Educational Agencies (SEAs and LEAs). Rather, it focuses on how the USDOE will support the collaborative work of State and local public school officials and private school leaders to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of these requirements and the delivery of services.
