Greetings Oregon Educators,

The Oregon Department of Education is now accepting initial interest surveys from education professionals who would like to be considered as candidates to serve on School Support Teams. The link to the initial interest survey is at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SSTInterest14-16

School Support Teams are small groups of education professionals that meet periodically with Priority and Focus School staff to provide guidance and support on their Comprehensive Achievement Plans and efforts to improve student achievement. This critical effort is a part of the Oregon ESEA Flexibility Waiver Continuous Improvement Network.

The anticipated timelines for the selection and assignment of school support team members is as follows:

*        Initial screening selections May 2014 via initial interest survey

*        Interviews held in June 201

*        Successful candidates placed on Approved Candidate's List June/July 2014

*        Selection and placement of approved school support team candidates on support teams August 2014 (not all approved candidates will be placed on school support teams)

*        Mandatory trainings for placed support team members will be provided the week of September 15th, 2014

Support teams will begin meeting with Priority and Focus Schools in the fall of the 2014-15 school year.  Selected School Support Team members will be compensated for their time and reimbursed for any related travel expenditures.
