The Oregon Department of Education's Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) has current openings for new members. The DRC meets three times per year in Salem to discuss IDEA dispute resolution matters and administrative orders including Due Process orders and State Complaint Final orders. The DRC also discusses mediation activities, facilitation, and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution used for disputes related to Special Education. The work is not paid but is valuable to our state's education community. We are now accepting applications for:

- Attorney Representing a School District(s)
- Attorney Representing Parents of and Students with a Disability
- Special Education Representative/ Administrator from a School District

The Committee will vote on applications and approve the new appointee at our next meeting in the spring of 2015. The term of new members will commence in fall of 2015.
