RE:  Final Preview of Special Education Report Card
         Timeline for 2015-2016 Special Education Report Card Public Release


The public release date for the 2015-16 Special Education Report Cards is Wednesday April 5, 2017.

Districts and EI/ECSE Programs were given the opportunity to view their Special Education Report Cards between the dates of March 13th through the 17th.

Districts and EI/ECSE Programs will have the opportunity to view their Special Education Report Cards once again on March 29th through April 4th, before the cards are released to the public on April 5th.


*       Drafts of the 2015-16 Special Education Report Cards will be posted on the secure district site for your preview:  https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/.

*       Technical Assistance Documents for the 2015-16 Education Report Cards can be accessed on the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) website<http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=1831> or: http://www.oregon.gov/ode/schools-and-districts/reportcards/SpEdReportCards/Pages/default.aspx

o   Report Card formats:  ODE will produce each district's report in English and Spanish.

o   2015-16 Technical Manual for use in calculating and validating your data.

o   Notes for the 2015-16 School District Special Education Report Cards for your use in communicating the information to parents and community members.  ODE will produce the Notes in English and Spanish.

ODE expects each district and EI/ECSE Program to proof its Special Education Report Card. Should the district have questions or concerns regarding their data, the district will provide details of the correction(s) being requested to Bruce.Sheppard at state,or.us<mailto:Bruce.Sheppard at state,or.us> or (503) 947-5612.  However, please be advised that ODE will not change any data that have been submitted and previously validated by the district. April 5:  Final Special Education Report Cards Available to Districts
Final pdf versions of the 2015-16 Special Education Report Cards will be available to districts on the secure district site:  https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/, and to the public on the ODE website.  No changes will be made on or after this date.  ODE will issue a press release about the Special Education Report Cards and the Special Education Child Count.
