These are going out early enough so you should have adequate time to use the funds as they are designated. The Extended Assessment sub grants are flat funded this year, meaning you will be receiving about the same amount of funds as last year (see attached Allocation Formula). The Extended Assessment sub grants are to be utilized to maintain and support your capacity to assess students with disabilities. All districts are required to complete the attached CEIS 2018-2019 Collection Form by 10/01/2018. Districts can voluntarily spend up to 15% of their 2018-2019 IDEA Part B funds toward CEIS (AOR 340). Districts found significantly disproportionate are required to spend the full 15% of their IDEA funds on CEIS. You can find your district's IDEA Part B Flow-Through estimates on the ODE website. For more information about how to fill out the CEIS Collection Form and reporting requirements, please read the attached Instructions. If you are not responsible for discipline data at your district, please forward this message to the appropriate staff. A few reminders: * All agencies must review and complete audits in Consolidated Collections. If you do not clear audits or fix errors, you will be considered inaccurate. * Review audits by hovering over the Student Collections menu, then June Special Education Exit Review Window, then Error Management, and then Review Audits. The process is the same for Special Ed Child Find (Indicator 11) and Discipline Incidents. * After correcting your audits (if any), confirm by checking the box, and then clicking the Confirm button. * In addition, after audits are corrected, be sure to check for and correct any errors under the Review Errors tab. * All agencies must verify their submission from the Status Tracking tab. Make sure the School Year near the top of the Status Tracking page indicates 2017-2018. o Verify your submission by clicking on the small triangle bullet located to the left of the collection name. o June Exit and Child Find: approve each report.
