RE: District/Program Special Education Compliance Findings -  Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2018 (2018-19 School Year)

Thank you for your ongoing work in support of special education compliance. We realize it takes the effort of many people each year to complete the Special Education procedural compliance data for the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).  ODE reviews your district's data for compliance with federal and state Special Education regulations and provides notification of findings (compliance and noncompliance).  We appreciate your submission of the FFY 2018 Procedural Compliance Review (PCR) data related to the Oregon State Performance Plan (SPP) and Annual Performance Report (APR). ODE has reviewed your submission and is providing this notification of findings as per Memo 09-02 from the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services<https://sites.ed.gov/idea/idea-files/osep-memo-09-02-reporting-on-correction-of-noncompliance/>.

Your PCR Correction Report is now available in the System Performance Review and Improvement (SPR&I) application. This report consists of a list of second year noncompliant standards from your FFY 2017 PCR submission (if any) and any noncompliant standards from your FFY 2018 PCR submission. Findings are based on program self- analysis, ODE verification and program submission of evidence of correction. Findings are listed by standard and reference the relevant state or federal regulation. The text of individual standards listed in the findings can be reviewed in the following link:

Accessing your PCR correction report:
*       Log in to SPR&I:  https://district.ode.state.or.us/home/default.aspx<%20https:/district.ode.state.or.us/home/default.aspx>
*       Click on "SPED" from the ribbon at the top of your district/program SPR&I page:

*       Select "Reports" from the drop down menu:

*       Select "PCR Correction" from the list of reports.

Please note:
1)     Corrections for all findings for 2017-2018 (submitted February 2018) were due April 14, 2019. Remaining corrections for 2017-2018 are second year noncompliance and should be corrected as soon as possible.
2)     All findings for 2018-2019 (submitted February 2019) that have not been corrected will need to be corrected as soon as possible but no later than one year from receipt of this notice, April 14, 2020.
