<div><font size="3">The Department recently updated the document, “Providing Appropriate Services for Students with Disabilities Ages 18-21”. More specifically, the original document is now separated into two distinct documents: 1) a technical assistance
document to assist IEP teams in making decisions regarding secondary transition services for students with disabilities ages 18-21, and 2) a fiscal document to assist Special Education Administrators and District Business managers in securing the most appropriate
method for accessing state school funding for students with disabilities. The content and intent for each is very different and has caused some confusion as a single document. As two separate documents the process and expectations should be better understood.
Thank you to all advisory groups (special education directors, SACSE, and DRO) for commenting and making suggestions on these products. </font></div>
