ODE uses the National Center for Special Education Accountability Monitoring (NCSEAM) Family Survey. Each district is surveyed once during the six-year sampling cycle. Survey results are incorporated into the district’s Special Education Report Card. In small districts, all families are surveyed; in large districts random sampling is used.

The survey results report the percent of parents who say that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities.
