<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The funding for the Extended Assessment sub grants for this school year is in process. The Extended Assessment sub grants are flat funded this year, meaning you will be receiving
about the same amount of funds as last year (see attached Allocation Formula). The Extended Assessment sub grants are to be utilized to maintain and support your capacity to assess students with disabilities.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">After a review of the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), ODE will allow the use of any remaining sub grant monies to purchase tablets for the
purpose of administering the Extended Assessment. However, since they are small electronic devices, proper internal controls require sub grantees of the Extended Assessment to keep an inventory list of the devices, keep the devices as well as the test information
secure (per the current Oregon Test Administration Manual), and restrict their use to the assessment of students with disabilities only. Support to staff and our students is critical and I know these funds will help in that effort.
