Last year's Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS)<https://partnership2asc.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6bb18a5d03c832b1050b6af18&id=5cf5775151&e=ad815c3937> included important coding and payment changes for services to address health-related social needs (HRSNs) through payments for Community Health Integration (CHI), SDOH Risk Assessment, and Principal Illness Navigation (PIN) services.
In July 2024, CMS released its annual draft proposed updates for next year’s PFS (CY2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule<https://partnership2asc.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6bb18a5d03c832b1050b6af18&id=0f2290aaec&e=ad815c3937>), which includes a request for information (RFI) regarding barriers to implementation for services to address HRSNs.
It is important that CMS hear from stakeholders and advocates about this opportunity to improve alignment between health and social care ecosystems through Medicare Part B.
The Partnership to Align Social Care<https://partnership2asc.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6bb18a5d03c832b1050b6af18&id=757f4732bd&e=ad815c3937> (Partnership) is offering TWO opportunities to share your voice with CMS, but time is short:
1. Join Partnership co-chairs and other organizational stakeholders on a sign-on letter<https://partnership2asc.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6bb18a5d03c832b1050b6af18&id=eed998f56a&e=ad815c3937> (pdf<https://partnership2asc.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6bb18a5d03c832b1050b6af18&id=9ca35f51a3&e=ad815c3937>) offering comments in response to the RFI regarding implementation barriers for services to address HRSNs.
