<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black;mso-ligatures:none">After 4 years of development and pilot testing, CDC’s National DPP Team is excited to offer the National DPP Group Coaching Certificate Program to all training entities and therefore
all Lifestyle Coaches. The Group Coaching Certificate Program was developed in partnership with the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM), National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). CDC,
ACPM, NBHWC, and NBME have been working diligently to develop this advanced skills training program for National DPP Lifestyle Coaches based on the best evidence and practices for group-based health and wellness coaching. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black;mso-ligatures:none"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black;mso-ligatures:none">The training consists of 4 components that coaches must complete to achieve the certificate: (1) Online Prework, (2) Live Training Sessions, (3) Exam, and (4) Training Evaluation.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:black;mso-ligatures:none">We have piloted the Group Coaching Certificate Program three times, to test the effectiveness of the program and to iron out any kinks, making improvements with each pilot. Through
evaluation results, we now know it has a positive impact on improvement in coaches’ skills, lifestyle change program participants’ retention rates and achievement of type 2 diabetes risk reduction measures, and coaches’ perceptions of how the program helped
them become a more confident coach. We are now opening it up to all training entities, allowing Lifestyle Coaches to be able to advance their group coaching competencies and skills for delivering the National DPP Lifestyle Change Program.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

1 live training session per week for about 6 months with a variety of training schedules to choose from. Live sessions last either 60, 90, or 120 minutes, depending on the session content. Holiday breaks are built into the schedule and there will be options
for makeup sessions. Coaches that complete all online and live sessions will be able to take the exam at the end of the training and receive a certificate of completion upon achieving a passing score. <o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="color:black;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-ligatures:none">Format:</span></b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;mso-ligatures:none"> The training will be done completely online.
