[Self-sufficiencypartners] External Survey for Community Partners - ODHS CIE Assessment Project

Greetings,

Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is looking into how Community Information Exchange (CIE)<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/HPA/OHIT/Pages/CIE-Overview.aspx> can help the people they serve by making it easier for staff to send referrals for things like housing support, behavioral healthcare, winter clothes, and more.



CIE is a technology tool that helps connect people to the services they need through a closed-loop referral process. This means when a referral is sent, the staff who sent it can see what happens next. CIE helps remove obstacles that keep people from getting the support they need. CIE may also be a tool for receiving referrals from community partners. CIE is available across Oregon through two platforms: Unite Us (also called Connect Oregon) and findhelp.



ODHS hired an external contractor, North Highland, to review our programs and suggest where CIE might be useful. They are looking at how ready we are and if it makes sense to use CIE.



As a part of this process, we are conducting a survey with a wide range of people inside and outside of ODHS. Please help us by taking some time to fill out this survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ODHS_CIE_CP>. It can take from 10-15 minutes and must be completed in one sitting. The survey will be open until January 24, 2025. Your perspectives will help build an understanding of people's experiences today and where CIE may be considered useful.
