1. DISCUSSION AND FORECAST FOR NORTHEAST FORECAST AREA ZONES 630-638
A weak front moves into western Washington and brushes northwest Oregon on Thursday. This is unlikely to have much effect on northeast Oregon. Weak high pressure covers the southern portion of the state.
OUTLOOK (FRIDAY - SUNDAY):
By Friday a weak upper trough moves into British Columbia and extends southward into the Pacific Northwest. Showers should be confined to areas west of the Cascades. . Mixing heights will remain high. The upper trough stalls and strengthens into an upper low on Saturday and drops into Washington. Warm air aloft moves over the region on the southwesterly flow aloft ahead of the low. This will suppress mixing heights to near 3000 feet Saturday. .
