<div>1. DISCUSSION AND FORECAST FOR NORTHEAST FORECAST AREA ZONES 630-638</div>
<div> </div>
<div style="padding-left: 36pt; ">The Pacific Northwest will be on the eastern edge of a broad upper level ridge in the eastern Pacific on Wednesday. Surface high pressure covers the region for dry weather. Expect good mixing heights but light transport winds.

<div> OUTLOOK (THURSDAY-SATURDAY)</div>
<div> </div>
<div style="padding-left: 36pt; ">The upper ridge gets suppressed southward Thursday as a strong upper jet develops in the eastern Pacific and into central British Columbia. The surface high gets pushed southward and some light rain moves into the region.
Mixing heights remain high, though, and increased transport winds should improve smoke dispersal conditions. Friday temporary upper ridging will help produce dry weather. Favorable mixing heights should make for good smoke dispersal conditions. Some rain
is possible in the north on Saturday but smoke dispersal conditions should remain favorable. </div>

<div>Mixing height 2000 - 3000 ft during the morning. Mixing height rises above 5000 ft during the afternoon then lowers below 1000 ft during the evening.</div>

<div>Transport wind NW to N at 8 - 12 mph.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Surface wind NW to N at 6 - 12 mph during the morning and afternoon. Surface wind becomes light and variable and controlled by local terrain during the evening.</div>

<div>Mixing height below 1000 ft early rising to 1600 to 2600 ft by late morning rising above 5000 ft during the afternoon. In the west transport wind SSW to SW at 8 - 12 mph. In the east transport wind light and variable during the morning becoming SSW to
SW at 8 - 14 mph during the afternoon. Surface wind light and variable during the morning becoming SSW to WSW at 6 - 10 mph during the afternoon.</div>

<div>Mixing height 1200 to 2200 ft during the morning rising to 3500 to 4500 ft during the afternoon. Transport wind light and variable. Surface wind light and variable.</div>
