front pushing into the northern Cascades. Temperatures will warm to slightly
above normal with mostly sunny skies. Daytime heating will yield high afternoon
mixing heights. Northerly transport winds will increase and turn slightly more
onshore late, as cooler marine air begins pouring into central and eastern
Oregon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

as an upper-level trough comes onshore and stalls over Washington and Oregon.
On Monday, A cold front will bring increasing clouds and a slight chance of
showers or afternoon thunderstorms. Brisk onshore winds will usher cooler air,
from west to east across the region. Additional cooling is likely Tuesday and
Wednesday, as the upper-level trough slowly shifts to over eastern Oregon.
This system is relatively dry, compared to the past several storms. However,
skies will become at least partly cloudy with a chance of showers and afternoon
thundershowers. Daytime heating should yield high afternoon mixing heights
with transport winds turning more northerly on Wednesday.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
