<div style="padding-left: 24pt; "><font face="Consolas, monospace"> </font></div>
<div style="padding-left: 24pt; ">Upper air charts show a strong ridge aloft extending from about 600 miles west of northern California northward into the Yukon. This gives a dry northerly to northwesterly flow aloft over the region. At the surface a strong
thermal trough extends from the central valley of California into southwest Oregon. A strong, generally northerly or northeasterly pressure gradient has set up. Morning soundings from Salem and Eugene show low level inversions. However with quite warm surface
temperatures today any inversion should easily be broken for mixing heights rising to well above 5000 feet in the afternoon. Winds will be quite brisk today and wind precautions need to be observed. </div>
