over southwestern Oregon. The surface thermal trough will shift into the
western interior around midday with mostly northerly transport winds along the
coast and over the coast range. Transport winds may turn slightly onshore in
the afternoon, especially in the western zones, as the surface thermal trough
shifts eastward to over the Cascades. Near record high temperatures are likely
east of the coastal range crest, especially across the northern zones.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

watch for transport winds shifting to more onshore in the afternoon, especially
