Short Description: The Primary Care Office Policy Lead will provide guidance to expand and diversify Oregon's medical, oral health, and behavioral health workforce providing culturally responsive care to people in medically underserved communities. This position provides high-level policy advice and subject matter expertise required for Oregon to fulfill its federal obligations as a Primary Care Office within OHA on health care access and delivery issues. The person will conduct health care workforce needs assessments, analyze data on provider shortages, facilitate resources to address workforce recruitment and retention, build relationships with practices delivering care to people experiencing inequities, and staff the Health Care Workforce Committee of the Oregon Health Policy Board.

Short Description: As part of this rotation, the Health Care Workforce Team Manager will direct a team and provide high-level policy advice on major activities related to creating culturally responsive health care workforce in the state, including staffing the Oregon Health Policy Board's Health Care Workforce Committee and providing workforce subject matter expertise within OHA and to state and external partners. The complex projects, processes, and systems established will be highly visible and of significant interest to the Oregon legislature, Governor's office, state agencies, other state agencies, and numerous interested groups.
