<p style="margin-bottom:11.25pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#444444">On behalf of participating Green Future℠ customers, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) has awarded DAS up to $416,610 to support the installation
 of a renewable energy project at the state Fleet and Parking Services facility in Salem. DAS was among several other grant recipients from PGE's Renewable Development Fund competitive award process in 2020. The 250 kilowatt (kW) array will support charging
 for the state's growing fleet of electric vehicles. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:11.25pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#444444">The project will be among the largest solar installations to date by a state agency and complements DAS sustainability goals to reduce greenhouse gas
 emissions and increase its share of electricity derived from renewable sources. DAS also plans to install a solar array on its recently acquired North Valley Complex building in Wilsonville. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:11.25pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#444444">DAS will begin the design process in 2021, with completion of the fleet array anticipated in the 2022-23 timeframe. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

 DAS Sustainable Procurement Program. Efforts are underway to develop a comprehensive statewide sustainable procurement policy to direct state agencies in their procurement practices. The team is also helping evaluate sustainability opportunities in contracting
 for energy and water efficient equipment, building materials, IT hardware, fuels, and more, and it is helping develop metrics to track and report on agency progress. The DAS Procurement Services training team has developed a sustainable procurement class,
 which is offered quarterly to state agency staff as well as members of the Oregon Cooperative Purchasing Program. The DAS

<p style="margin-bottom:11.25pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#444444">Combined with parking lot repairs at several sites, DAS plans to install between 100 and 150 Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at the Salem Motor
 Pool and most parking lots/structures around the state government's Capital Mall in Salem. The chargers will primarily serve state vehicle needs as DAS and agencies electrify the state fleets, but they will also provide worksite charging for state employees
 and offer some limited public access charging. The project is in full design phase with construction estimated to begin on indoor parking structures around the turn of the calendar year. Work on the lots requiring trenching and repairs will follow through
 the next spring and summer construction season. Efforts to electrify the state fleet are just one component of
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/odot/Programs/Pages/Electric-Vehicles.aspx" target="_blank">
<span style="color:#8F3939">work</span></a> by ODOT, ODOE, the Public Utilities Commission and other agencies to support vehicle electrification across Oregon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:11.25pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#444444">In November 2020, the Oregon State Police (OSP) received Earthwise Certification for their headquarters in Salem. Earthwise, a program of
<a href="https://www.co.marion.or.us/PW/ES/disposal/programs/earthwise" target="_blank">
<span style="color:#8F3939">Marion County</span></a>, guides and certifies businesses, organizations and agencies for sustainable practices in their buildings and operations. In obtaining certification, OSP addressed various areas for improvement/implementation
 and continues to look for sustainable solutions. OSP's facility has bio-retention swales to treat and infiltrate surface storm water, a reflective membrane roof, LED lighting throughout, occupancy sensors with dimmers, native drought-tolerant plants in landscaping,
 and recycling centers. OSP also uses green-certified cleaning products throughout the facility. This is just a short list of energy efficiency and sustainability tools and practices employed by OSP.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

 maintenance operations. The inventory will provide ODOT with an important understanding of the emissions associated with work performed and services purchased by the agency. The final deliverable will provide a breakdown of current practices compared against
 best practices, including cost differences (with considerations for data and commodity pricing challenges), lifespan differences, emission reduction potential, and other co-benefits such as opportunities for equity, additional resiliency or local economic
 development. The inventory is scheduled to be complete by the end of the year. The work is being managed by the
<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/odot/Programs/Pages/Climate-Office.aspx" target="_blank">

<span style="color:#B26161">Oregon Sustainability Board (OSB) </span></a>was created in 2001 and encourages activities that best sustain, protect and enhance the environment, economy and community for the present and future benefit of Oregonians. Appointed
 by the Governor, members represent a variety of stakeholders across the state of Oregon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<a href="https://www.oregon.gov/lcd/CL/Documents/2021_CLIMATE_CHANGE_ADAPTATION_FRAMEWORKandBlueprint.pdf" target="_blank" title="Climate Change Adaptation Framework">
<span style="color:#B26161">Climate Change Adaptation Framework</span></a> calls for a coordinated, multi-agency response to climate change. The Framework emphasizes that climate change is a stress multiplier, unequally affecting Oregonians.

<span style="color:#B26161">2020 annual SEED report.</span></a> The SEED process calls for state agencies to work with ODOE in the initial design of their building projects so cost-effective energy conservation measures (ECMs) are planned for and incorporated
 into building designs. The report also documents energy use in existing state buildings and tracks this use against high efficiency performance targets. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
