The annual conference of the Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted (OATAG) will take place from 8:30 until 6:00 on Saturday, October 22nd., 2011 on the beautiful campus of Reed College in Portland. The conference theme is Assessing and Identifying Gifted Learners. The conference will feature a keynote speech by Dr. David Lohman, Professor of Psychological & Quantitative Foundations College of Education at the University of Iowa. The identification of gifted children: Lessons learned, visions for the future Dr Lohman is one of the country's foremost experts on student assessment and co-authored the CogAT test. He will also be offering two breakout sessions at the conference.
